self-propelled vehicle,
primarily designed for the
transportation of persons or
property over the public
highways, that was leased,
purchased or registered.
Applies only to the chassis
portion of motor homes. Does
not include motorcycles or
trucks with 10,000 pounds or
more GVW. |
What
is a Lemon? | Three
unsuccessful repair attempts
or 30 calendar days out of
service within shorter of 2
years or 24,000 miles, with
1 repair or 15 days out of
service within shorter of 1
year or 12,000 miles, or 1
unsuccessful repair of a
serious safety defect in the
braking or steering system
within shorter of 1 year or
12,000 miles. |
Notice
Requirement | Certified
mail notice, return receipt
requested, for final repair
attempt. Manufacturer
has 7 days to notify
consumer of repair facility. |

Even
if your new car does not
qualify under the State
Lemon Law (e.g., more than
24 months or 24,000 miles
have passed or you did not
have a repair attempt within
the 12 month/12,000 Lemon
Law Rights period) or you
have a Motorcycle, Boat,
Computer or any other
Consumer Product you still
have important Rights under
the Federal Magnuson-Moss
Warranty Act and the Uniform
Commercial
